Debbie Daniels
Debbie is a self taught oil painter who has been painting for four decades.
She is inspired by the natural beauty of the surroundings where she lives in the San Juan Islands and will never tire of painting the sea. Captured movement plays a vital role in her work. Debbie’s paintings rarely have a horizon line so that the viewer is immersed in the up close details of our surroundings. In capturing movement, she hopes to expose a moment in time and provide something deeply personal to the viewer.
Debbie is a member of the Oil Painters of America and a signature member of the American Society of Marine Artists. She works from her studio at Friday Harbor Atelier in Friday Harbor, WA,
“I create large scale oil paintings of seaside scenery in and around the beautiful San Juan Islands (WA) and the Tampa Bay area of Florida. I am inspired by the natural beauty of my surroundings and will never tire of painting the sea. Captured movement plays a vital role in my work. My paintings rarely have a horizon line so that the viewer is immersed in the up close details of our surroundings. In capturing movement, I hope to expose a moment in time and provide something deeply personal to the viewer. My goal through my work is to capture beauty and freeze it for a moment in time, and inspire people to see beauty in the details of the world; savor the color, texture, shapes, and patterns of life.”
