   Roberta Seger

One of the most popular teachers at the Academy Art Museum, Roberta(Bobbie) Seger lives and paints on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Her oils, watercolors and acrylics communicate an immediacy of place and mood, providing the viewer a glimpse of life on the Chesapeake. Roberta B. Seger is a graduate of Drexel University with a degree in fine arts. Bobbie Seger and her husband enjoy many recreational opportunities living on the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay-sailing, golfing, fishing, gardening and painting. The love of the outdoors has led Bobie toward landscape painting, preferably on location. "There is so much beauty in this Tidewater area--the rivers, marshes, farms, and charming fishing villages offer unlimited food for the hungry eyes of the artist!"

She feels that anyone could benefit from at least one landscape painting course, just to learn to see things with a keener sense of observation, a deeper awarenes and appreciation of the world around us.

Bobbie's work can be found in numerous private collections. She is represented by the US Department of State Art at Embassies Program.
