Lynn Mehta

Lynn Mehta is an artist who loves oil paint. This is instantly evident in her artwork that is characterized by an unabashed freedom of paint application. Painting from life, Mehta applies her skills as a representational artist while she simultaneously focuses on the abstraction of form, strong design, and the inspiration she receives from the world around her.

Mehta holds a B.A. in Art from San Diego State University and has studied with internationally acclaimed artists in the US and abroad. A recipient of numerous awards in national juried shows and plein air competitions, Mehta's paintings are held in public and private collections throughout the US, France, and England.

She is a featured artist in 100 Painters of the Mid-Atlantic, holds membership in the American Impressionist Society, California Art Club, Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association, Oil Painters of America, Salmagundi Club, Women Painters of the Southeast, and is an Elected Artist Member in the AAPL.
