Christopher Fish studied art and design at the Maryland Institute College of Art. After graduating, he worked in corporate settings doing designs and exhibit work, eventually managing a large corporate art collection as well as handling art acquisition. Those years as a designer afforded Fish international travel, intensive study of trends and markets, as well as knowledge and appreciation for what makes the good stuff so undeniably good. The extensive browsing he did of galleries and collections have served him well as a fine artist and informed the work he now produces. He recently relocated from Baltimore to the Eastern Shore of Maryland, to settle in Easton. Fish enjoys painting large landscapes with oil and pastel What's notable is his interest in the natural world, the play of shadow and light. His work is recognized for its open brushwork and saturated color.
